… AND HERE ARE THE COMPLETE STORIES…

- Zoom SchmoozeFest!- On Thursday, May 12, we had a small but robust gathering during our Spring 2022 Zoom SchmoozeFest! All of our guests are always special, but on that night we had a surprise visit from Parisa Ashrafi who has been residing in Iran for the last fourteen years. It was an honor to be able to chat with her and the other SchmoozeFesters about their accomplishments. Our next Zoom SchmoozeFest will be Thursday, September 8, from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM so mark the date down on your calendar now so you can join in the fun.

In addition to being named President Emerita, her photography was honored with a number of awards throughout the ceremony including Photographer of the Year, Finalist.

She also presented the Lifetime Achievement Award to Joanna Matos, the first female president of the organization. “Joanna broke the glass ceiling, helping me become just the fourth female president in our 86-year history.”  The association is comprised of over 400 still and video photojournalists based in the greater Los Angeles area who provide news imagery to publications and broadcasts throughout the world.
