- Justin Bastien- Adventure Photographer/Director-

Editor’s note: In a recent conversation with Photographer/Director Justin Bastien he mentioned he was off to shoot a piece for National Geographic in Yosemite, and that there was a new video on his website about how he prepares for and shoots his projects that was done for Red Bull and Vans titled, “Project Behind the Lens.” Justin was in one of our first classes in 2006 and he has come a long way in terms of fulfilling his goals of living the dream. We are proud of his accomplishments, and the accomplishments of all our Crafting a Meaningful Career participants, and we invite you to enjoy watching this video on his creative journey by clicking on http://www.justinbastien.com/about, and then playing the “Project Behind the Lens” video. - Editor’s note: We have recently received several requests from people on our mailing list regarding either starting, or joining existing meet-up groups for creative individuals. One of the challenges of being in the creative fields is that we often operate in isolation and we seldom have an opportunity to meet up with other like-minded people who wish to share their stories and be mutually helpful. The groups could be casual coffee meet-ups, or more industry specific, or anything in between. If you are interested in either starting a group or joining an existing group, don’t be shy, just email tony@tonylunacreative.com and your requests will be passed along, or with your permission, posted in this blog. It would be a great way to find your tribe, and how we can encourage each other to continue creatively growing and doing what we LOVE to do!

The group meet-up pictured above meets every Tuesday 4:30 to 6:00 when Art Center classes are in session. The group covers a wide variety of creative topics, and provides support by passing along important information while attempting to solve the world’s problems at Jones Coffee Roasters, 693 South Raymond Avenue, Pasadena. Come and join us if you are interested in meeting some of the people that inspire me on a weekly basis.
